ATAP Names New Board Member

The Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP) announced today that Melissa Thompson has become the newest Board Member.

Melissa Thompson is a strategic and collaborative executive with more than 25 years of  experience in Global Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. Melissa joined McGraw Hill Education as the VP, Talent Acquisition in early 2018.  Her current focus is driving a Talent Acquisition transformation that will support the business’s digital transformation journey.  

During her career she has held recruiting leadership roles at Dell, Citrix, Siebel, and Lenovo. She is a results-oriented, strategic Talent Acquisition leader with expertise in designing and executing cutting-edge recruitment programs. Melissa has held progressively broader recruiting roles in the technology space over the past 15 years. During her tenure, Melissa developed a flexible staffing model using collaboration and alignment skills and transformed the global organization onto one seamless Applicant Tracking System.

Melissa is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  Her return to the Dallas area allows her to spend more time with family and reconnect with friends from both college and high school.

Founded in 2016, the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP) is the only global, member-driven non-profit representing all of talent acquisition. ATAP established the Professional Code of Recruiting Integrity, builds a common body of knowledge for and advocates on behalf of the profession, and fosters an inclusive community of all professionals who have talent acquisition responsibilities.
