Are you ready for Global TA Day?
Wednesday, September 4th marks the second annual #GlobalTADay — the one day each year dedicated to celebrating all things (and people) Talent Acquisition.
Over 75 companies have already committed to celebrating the international holiday. Here’s why you should too:
Last year’s #GlobalTADay took social media by storm
September 5, 2018 marked the first ever Global TA Day. By the day’s end, the #GlobalTADay hashtag had over 1200 total tweets, reached over 2.5 million unique users, and ultimately garnered over 7 million total impressions.
How did people celebrate? Talent Acquisition practitioners praised their teammates, thanked their mentors, and shared some of their proudest moments.

And practitioners took the opportunity to network and better their skills through workshops and industry events. What a day!

2019 is going to be even bigger and better
With over 75 companies pledged, Global TA Day 2019 is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year.
Don’t sweat the small stuff as you plan your celebrations: Recruitics and ATAP have put together a full library of free templates to make it easy to give shoutouts, swag out your social media profiles, and more!
We also have some ideas to get you started. A few great ways to celebrate Global TA Day are to:
- Cater lunch for your TA team
- Plan a TA team outing or activity — go bowling, play a game of kickball, or do any other team-bonding activity
- Give your favorite recruiter a shoutout on social media using the #GlobalTADay hashtag
- Set up a photo backdrop for team members to take photos in front of. It’ll last forever!
You can celebrate IRL (and online!)
From happy hours to conferences to luncheons, #GlobalTADay events are happening all over the country. In-person events will be in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Mountain View, Portland, and San Diego.
Can’t make it IRL? Don’t worry! To add some professional development to your celebrations, Phenom People, Recruitics, and ATAP are hosting a webinar discussing today’s TA trends. And later that afternoon, ATAP and CareerXRoads are hosting a virtual celebration open to all.
