How we'll get there

Our mission is to represent the interests of talent acquisition professionals at every level worldwide.

We’ll do that by building a common body of knowledge, establishing minimum standards and ethics, advocating for our profession with governmental entities, within the business community, and with other related professional societies; and developing community at a local, nationwide and global level to enable talent acquisition professionals to better learn from and network with each other.

Strong roots

ATAP was founded in 2015, but the idea for a global recruiting association has long had its roots in the hearts and minds of talent acquisition professionals.

In 2012, an early plan for the association was hatched by Acting Executive Director Ben Gotkin and Senior Advisor Gerry Crispin, and in 2015 brought to life by a community of volunteers:

Review Board and Working Committees

Inaugural Board of Directors

To formally launch ATAP, the founding Review Board solicited the organization’s first Board of Directors through an open nomination process that closed on October 31, 2016.

Members of the Board of Directors will be selected by the end of 2016 and announced to the ATAP community.

The Review Board will continue to support and advise the new Board of Directors who will have the unique responsibility to form and manage ATAP in its first year of operation.

Membership interest

The organization will officially launch in early 2017 after the Board of Directors is selected and we want talent acquisition professionals from across our community to join: recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition technology, service providers, employer brand and more.

ATAP will be continually updating the talent acquisition community on how to become a member. Submit your interest now to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
