How To Turn Manager Wish Lists Into Unbiased Job Posts
Track 1

Speaker: Katrina Kibben

Hiring managers often treat recruiters like order takers. They copy and paste a list of lengthy requirements from job postings that sound good and expect you to return with the perfect candidate that checks every box. What you do next with this wish list has an enormous impact on the hiring process and your relationship with managers. The cost of taking orders instead of creating a consultative experience doesn’t stop there. When recruiting and hiring teams aren’t aligned, companies around the world see the time-to-fill rise, candidate retention drop, and worse? They hire the wrong person. No company can afford to keep making this mistake. People who have attended this session with job post writing expert Katrina Kibben have said it made collaboration with difficult managers easier. Bonus: they saw more of the right people applying faster, too. What’s In It For You Understand the 4 expensive consequences of setting bad hiring manager expectations, How to remove bias in job postings and write better requirements that will help you build a diverse, qualified slate of candidates, Example job postings that have already reduced bias and attracted great candidates to roles, And More! Attendees will leave this session with free resources and simple frameworks to improve hiring manager relationships and make writing job posts easy.
